Ávilan Teresa eli Pyhä Teresa (tunnettu paremmin nimellä Santa Teresa de Jesús tai Teresa de Ávila) oli espanjalainen nunna, joka on julistettu pyhimykseksi. Ávilan Teresa oli vastauskonpuhdistuksen merkittäviä hahmoja ja karmeliittain sääntökunnan uudistaja. Hänet tunnetaan erityisesti rukouksen ihmisenä.

Lainaan tähän englanniksi hänen runomittaan kirjoittamansa rukouksen ”Vivo sin vivir en mí”. Ikävä kyllä en löytänyt suomenkielistä käännöstä tekstiin. Se on rukous elämästä ilman, että eläisin itsessäni – tai kuolemisesta ajassa, jotta ei kuole ikuisuudessa.
